Control of soil cultivation depth with centimeter accuracy

You can immediately see at what depth the weapon actually works.

No need to dig - the system shows everything.

Fuel economy and less wear and tear on equipment.

There are reports: where they went and how deep.

The work has been done properly - the harvest will not fail.

Industrial control of tillage depth using GLONASS and digital sensors.

Why is tillage depth important?

In crop production, the depth of soil loosening plays a key role. Each crop requires its own optimal depth — from 10 to 45 cm. Too shallow — the root system will not develop. Too deep — fuel costs increase, the soil structure is destroyed. Therefore, precise depth control is not a luxury, but a necessity for a modern farmer.

Problematic: the impossibility of guaranteed control of the depth of loosening

In professional agricultural engineering, the depth of tillage is a critical parameter that directly affects:

  • root system development;
  • water and air exchange;
  • fertilizer placement;
  • energy efficiency and tool life.

On most farms there is no objective tool for monitoring the actual depth, especially when deep loosening (up to 40-50 cm). Measurements are made manually, selectively, without reflecting the full picture.

The result is uneven processing, heterogeneous agrophysics of the soil and yield reduction.

Technological solution: digital monitoring of the depth of loosening

We offer an innovative measuring system based on two key components:

1. GLONASS/GNSS positioning system

  • It is installed on a tractor.
  • Provides accurate determination of coordinates, speed, fuel, route and angle of rotation of the unit.
  • Serves as the basis for spatial binding of parameters to the field map.

2. Depth sensor

  • It is installed on the frame of a tillage unit (for example, a deep-loader).
  • Tracks the actual position of the working organs in the soil profile.
  • Transmits data to a digital module for visualization and analysis.

SOFTWARE: Accurate real-time monitoring

All measurements are displayed in the software platform as:

  • interactive maps with depth overlay;
  • time graphs of the depth of the sinking;
  • deviations from the set parameters;
  • reports exported to Excel and PDF.

The device can automatically signal to the operator or the agronomist when exceeding the permissible agrotechnical standards, which is critically important when applying fertilizers to depth, winter plowing, loosening of the underside of the sole, etc.

Arguments in favor of implementation

✅ Agronomic efficiency:

  • Strict adherence to agricultural technology for all crops: cereals, legumes, technical and vegetable crops.
  • Processing according to individual depth maps depending on the type of soil, density and level of over-compaction.

✅ Economic benefit:

  • Lower fuel costs and wear of working organs.
  • Eliminating unnecessary passes and recycling.

✅ Management control:

  • Maintaining a journal of agricultural operations, confirming standards and volumes.
  • Support of requirements for agrologistics, certification (including standards for “Digital agriculture”, “Intelligent farming”).

✅ Integration with digital field maps:

  • The ability to export to 1C:Agro and others
  • Field zone deviation analysis for next season’s processing planning.
